Ugly Mely is back with its 9th Weekly Mely! This week, Melly Mel tells us about artists Jan Vormann, Erol and Lisbel Bussche recently seen in the excellent book “Urban Interventions”. Go right now and eye –ball it following!
#1 JAN VORMANN
I’ve heard about Jan Vormann in 2008 for an exhibition for Myspace, his work is interesting as far as the street culture is concerned. He’s having fun to fill the walls with Legos, his work is pointed out in Israel streets and adopts a very spiritual form filling the walls hit by the bombings with his toys which reminds us the childhood.
#2 EVOL - MINI ARCHITECTURE
After having presented you Jan Vormann’s work and his rebuilders legos, here is EVOL’s work, a street artist from Berlin, who has given to himself the mission to turn the city into mini-urban architecture by sticking a paper representing small buildings. Further news on his flickr.
#3 URBAN JEWELRY
The Belgian artist Liesbet Bussche has just proved once again that the street was the best playing field as far as creation is concerned. He has been inspired by the urban landscape to create jewels : earrings and necklaces. To discover in Tielrode streets in Belgium.
